Hello my name is Denise!
I am an RN, BSN ( daisy award winner 2020) with 17 years nursing/ clinical experience.
I was born in Jamaica and grew up in sunny South Florida. I moved to Colorado in 2015 with my husband. We have a beautiful, smart and energetic 5 year old.
I am passionate about Intermittent Fasting (IF) and creating health / improving health by giving our bodies Time To Heal. IF has helped me refocus on self care.
When my husband first mentioned IF I was skeptical ( totally gave him the side eye), but after doing some research and intermittent fasting myself I see and feel the amazing benefits of IF. I love IF! I have a health coaching certification in IF from Percision Nutrition.
More people need to know about IF as a health tool. Way to Heal/ health

My Story
Sept 2021 I went for a check up at the doctor office. To my surprise, my weight was 171 pounds. OMG, that was my pregnancy weight, that was no good. I was feeling down and just going through the motions even prior to seeing that number on the scale. Something had to change. I happened across a PBS show with Dr. Mark Hyman "Food as medicine" where he talks about how to improve health by eating real, nutrient dense food. He also mentioned Intermittent Fasting. That was just what I needed to hear. I decided to eat better quality food and eat from 7 am to 7pm. Nevermind my husband has been waiting to eat till 12 noon and not eating after 4pm for a while. I did not fully understand that he was doing IF.
Fast forward, there is an entire IF community backed by science. I have lost about 26 pounds and have adjusted my Fasting to fit my schedule and life I feel so good and my clothes a falling off of me. My mood and energy has improved. I love IF. More people need to know about IF as a health tool. It just makes sense,take break from eating/ digesting. Allow your body Time to Heal.
